City of New Delhi

Capital City of India, New Delhi, lies in the heart of country. A city which is a pure blend of historian era and modernization, where centuries old architecture exists in harmony with newly structured Malls and High rise Buildings. Though it is shielding the secrets of the old, it is harboring the ever changing essence of the new.

 

Old resplendency :

New Delhi is a cosmopolitan city due to the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural presence of the vast Indian bureaucracy and political system. For those who love to see architecture and bask in the history, Old Delhi is your destination. Take a taxi to the 17th-century Red Fort and Jama Masjid mosque early, when they are most glorious. Visit Kinari Bajaar, a crafters’ paradise, beaming with colorful turban shops, traditional (almost royal) outfits and fabrics, bead shops, wedding attire shops and whatnot. New Delhi’s history is not just centralized to old Delhi but can be easily seen everyone. Other monuments worth watching are Lotus temple, Qutub Minar. Located in Central Delhi is India Gate,  a war memorial, burning in a shrine under the arch of India Gate since 1971 is the Amar Jawan Jyoti (the flame of the immortal warrior), which marks the Unknown Soldier's Tomb.

 

Shopping

For shopping lovers there are a limitless options starting from the bargain markets to the upscale designer boutiques and showrooms. If you want variety and don’t want to spend a lot of money visit Janpath. It is a long path which will give you the pleasure of indo western apparels, accessories of all kinds starting from a single anklet to hats and scarves. Along Janpath there are number Emporiums from different states of India which will give you the glimpse of other religions and state cultures. For those who are spend thrift and want to spend on Indian Designers visit their Boutiques in the upscale locations. Besides these there are malls and big and small vendors everywhere for your convenience.

 

Last but not least don’t forget to try different cuisines starting from typical North Indian food, Chinese, Mughlai, Continental, South Indian and many more. Walk on Rajpath (King’s Way) to have a pleasant and mesmerizing evening and checkout the glowing Rashtrapati Bhawan (House of President).
