Cardiff by the sea
North of Solana Beach is a seaside lagoon intersected by a small strip of land and the Pacific Coast Highway, to either side of the highway and overlooking the lagoon and sea are restaurants offering seafood and steaks, each with great bars to check out amazing sunsets before dinner.
Take a break on the beach and stack rocks on the boulders that divide highway from this silver sliver of beautiful beach, they say it brings good luck. There are great places to hang out, including beachside Harley and dive bar the Kraken, sunset dinner at the Chart House or Italian coastal cuisine at Portofino.
This very walk-able town is also a natural wonder to discover with San Elijo State Beach and Lagoon, also a great place to camp. The style here is laid back as it gets, rainbow sandals and shorts, a tee short, and a cap it's no more than that!
