Golden Hill

Golden Hill reflects the former glory days of 19th century San Diego when the city experienced a financial and building boom.  Cable cars once scaled the hill from downtown to Golden Hill where the bankers, developers and business owners of the time built mansions later converted to apartment houses and now being restored to single family homes. 

 

This neighborhood combines yesterday’s elegance with an exciting and vibrant re-development. When visiting be sure not to miss Turf Supper Club an experience in eating straight out of the 1940’s, where guests BBQ their own meals while sipping on vintage cocktails from the colorful bar, the crowd here is fun, relaxed and friendly, much like the surrounding community.  Enjoy amazing coffee, desserts, salads, and panini at Influx a fantastic café whose style is a mix of modern and Victorian.
