Navigli
Built in 1179 (Naviglio Grande – first one ever) and in the XVI sec. (Naviglio Martesana),“navigli”, known as “darsena” as well, was a system of 2 artificial navigable, and interconnected canals centred around Milan that gathered the city with several commercial centers of “Ticino” and “Adda”. It was one of the largest post-medieval engineering projects, allowing development of commerce, transport and agriculture.
Nowadays unfortunately this area has lost a little bit itself. It’s desolate and “pitiable”. It has in my opinion an enormous potentiality, and honestly I really like it, but it is not ambitious and it doesn’t have self esteem. By the way this was my thought...
Keep on talking about this place, we have to say that it is the area with the most number of Pubs in Milan. During the week-end is almost impossible to find a parking-spot anywhere; people attack this place like crazy! Jazz, Blues, and Soft Lovers: “Attention Please”, that’s the area that you are looking for;Tiny and very characteristics live club are here.
