Psirri

Just opposite Plaka and Monastiraki, seperated by busy craftmans street Athinas, you find the small calm neighborhood Psirri, centralized by its Iroon square, which forms the basis to several streets that take you deeper into the little district. During the day it almost feels abandoned with a few art galleries and some trendy boutiques, but at the night it changes and you find a combination of true typical traditional tavernas with live music, ouzo and bouzouki, but also tiny trendy and cozy yet crowded bars where the Athenians gather before a night out.
