As I was sitting in the plane, waiting in line at the runway to take off, I had all the time in the world and thus decided to go through the whole air mall catalogue, one product beating another in things absolutely no man has any use of. From being surrounded by stores and malls on the ground, I now had some 200 pages of things to buy, ranging from plastic plants to golf improvement gadgets. Some of the more spectacular things I saw in terms of thinking; "Would people actually pull out their credit cards and buy this 10,000 feet up in the air?!" were:
- Inflatable spa, $800.
- Flipper machine, $2,700
- Framed photo of Larry Thomas, "The Soup Nazi" in Seinfeld, signed by the actor himself, saying: "No soup for you!", $300
If anyone would buy this, it must certainly be because of falling cabin pressure. Over and out.
