If you are looking for the next big thing in fashion, look no further than China and The People's Shoe. Take some canvas and a bit of leather, add in some communist charm, and what do you get, some pretty nifty kicks.
So what's the story behind the shoes, they're a common shoe for migrant workers in Shanghai and they are nothing less than a brilliant import from China that, rather than being just a cheap knock-off, are just what the hip American kids will want tomorrow. The cost? just $39 for these basic kicks that cost about $3 in their home Chinese market.
The company donates a percentage of their yearly income to charity, moreover (this year to The Starfish Project) their packaging is green and simple.
