United States farmers are seeing more and more land opportunity in Brazil. Some have sold farmland in the U.S. Midwest to buy land in Brazil. Investment pools are being set up for farmers who see opportunity in Brazil, but who do not have enough resources to invest on their own. Crop-ready land in Bazil is available for four hundred to five hundred dollars an acre. The United States however is two thousand and four hundred to four thousand dollars an acre. This is a dramatic price difference. About one hundred and twenty million acres have been cleared for crop production and pastures an another two hundred million acres are put aside. Production costs in Brazil are also alot cheaper, and the tropical climate supports more crops a year than the United States. The economic growth for Brazil is tremendous. Brazilian officials have visited the U.S. to talk with Americans considring farming. This is a great opportunity for the United States farmers to take into consideration. Land is cheap and farmers can produce a plethora of crops creating an increase in their business dramatically. This will not only help the United States, but will bring great businss to Brazil as well.
