About 350,000 people are stuck in Thailand due to protestors in Bangkok and about 10,000 people are stuck abroad waiting to get back into their country. Officials say the airport in Bangkok will be closed for a full week, leaving tourists scrambling to find a way out of the country. The tourism of ministry asked the cabinet for about 28 billion dollars to fund repatriation funds for the stranded tourists, but still a week later hasn’t reached its goal. Since waiting is not an option for these foreigners, countries like Spain, Australia and France have sent special flights to evacuate people. This single protest is said to drop tourism in half and about one million jobs could be lost. But this is just something to expect when traveling abroad hopefully the holiday spirit is not lost in these travelers.
