The Better place organization announced on Tuesday they would begin building recharge stations throughout Japan. This is the first step in the Japanese green vehicle movement, these stations would encourage the practical use of green cars. Electric cars produce zero carbon emissons, the major draw back for consumers is the recharging the battery. Imagine purchasing an electric car and forgetting to charge it every night, the vehicle's battery could die on the road! This causes significant hesitation for the purchaser. By building these charge stations where a consumer can exchange thier dead battery for a charged one, (think propane tank stations) creates a huge market for green cars. In a country where overpopulation and carbon emissions are a threat to the society, The Better Place organization and Japanese auto makers are setting the pace for a global green revolution
