Born in Istanbul, Fahir Atakoglu is an international award winning composer and pianist. Considered as one of the most outstanding pianists and composers in the world, he has composed jingles, documentary and film music for many national and international productions since 1996. After his first album, Atakoglu has released 9 albums in 18 countries including the USA.
In his new album “Istanbul in Blue”, he worked with various leading names of jazz music such as Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez who is considered as the best drummer of the world, legendary bass player Anthony Jackson, jazz guitarists Mike Stern and Wayne Krantz, and saxophone player Bob Franceschini.
