I love this Basic for its Brick walls, clerestory windows, and exposed beams. From thick wood-slab tables to leather banquettes and lounge-like daybeds, this casual and open neighborhood bar caters to comfort and the non-clubby set.

The pizzas are amazing, gargantuan sized feeding up to 10 at a time. Beyond that they are delicious, try the mashed potato pizza, I promise it is amazing, with bacon, and chives.

I think Basic's best features are the enormous glass garage-type doors that slide open to let in fresh air and make you feel at one with the neighboring “soho-esque” district.
