However she positions herself, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the charismatic Argentine President who currently presides over a financial meltdown and hyper-inflation that you would think might bring her political future into doubt. Think again, speculation is growing that Cristina will run in 2011 and again in 2015, which would keep the family in power for a generation.

Cristina Kirchner is a savvy miniskirt-wearing leftist de luxe politico who despite overseeing the worst economy in decades, failed export and agricultural policies, shortages and inflation, has developed a strong following of her own. The Kirchners represent a faction of the dominant Peronist Justicialista Party that is more left-of-center.

She resides over the Casa Rosada (the Pink House, as the president's official residence is known) with increasing lack of concern for parliament or people, among her favorite brands: Gucci and Chanel for couture, Pucci for scarves, Prada for shoes, and Christian Dior for dresses.  She lives in the PINK while her people mire in a sea of RED!
