The best candies in the world (Jelly Belly)

The Jelly Bean is a candy commonly known in America, however the 'Jelly Belly' brand jelly bean is unique in that it uses real flavorings and fruit juices other than simply different colored sugars.  First made in 1976, these Jelly Bellies were developed for the adult market, the concept being to produce a Jelly Bean with both a flavored outer shell and a flavored center. 

Jelly Bellies remained largely unknown for almost a decade, it was not until former president Ronald Reagan discovered the little beans and kept a jar of them on his desk in the White House. The Jelly Belly grew and grew in popularity throughout the 1990's and today it is widely known all over America, now with over 50 flavors, including some unique ones such as toasted marshmallow, jalapeño, dr pepper, cotton candy and cappuccino.

 

As a climax to my Jelly Belly passion I have visited their factory and experienced their award winning factory tour. Jelly Bellies are by far my favorite candy, they have a great taste and texture which few other candies have, and they are the only candy to my knowledge endorsed by an American President.  Try some for yourself!
