This one time onion award winning hotel, the Marriott San Diego Gaslamp, underwent a metamorphisis beyond a butterfliy's dream, an extreme makover that today makes the hotel and it's rooftop bar "Altitude" a stylish and warm place to chill with friends in San Diego.
Firstly, the ambiance is just plain cool, lighting, a garden like scene, lounge areas and spectacular bar make this one of San Diego's best outdoor scenes. Add to that a "view to a kill" including city, bay and Petco Park. "Top" it all off with friendly, professional service and you have a combination that is tops in more than just Altitude but atitude as well.

I discovered this place whilst visiting San Diego last year, also liked their street level bar, went there after a baseball game.
