I know the trend has been seen quite a bit lately, however I would just like to describe the phenomenon Pop Up Stores, since its growing popularity again now with the global credit crunch.
Pop Up Stores are stores that open at an empty retail location for a few days and then close again, simply to benefit all parties, from lessor, to the brand itself and to customers - who receive buzz, excitement, exclusivity and act now!
Examples include Gap (selling from a school bus traveling along the boardwalks), Nike (exclusive collection), Havaianas (at a kiosk), Target, seasonal activity (Christmas stores), and so on.
