I actually discovered this Southern California artist’s work in a Japanese lifestyle magazine that a friend gave me to peruse. I discovered the art of JoSH AGle on one of the home design pages and instantly wanted one, even while filing this report, I purchased yet another entitled, “LA Modern” Night.

I love SHAG’s work as it reflects my favorite combination of mid century exuberance, bright colors, exaggerated images, and a bit of a naughty subliminal message to each, something naughty and nice, sensual and silly, I have covered my walls with several of SHAG’s works.

At least three friends of mine have caught the addiction as well. I also love the names of his works, “Baron Vodkalov”, “The Merry Widow”, and “Sophisticated Misfits”.
