Wanna take a trip to the past, feel like the war (WWII) just ended and its time to celebrate with your buddies, drink some beers or cocktails and BBQ indoors? If the answer is yes, then look no further than one of my all time favorite destinations for drinks and dinner… Turf Supper Club located in San Diego Victorian masterpiece neighborhood, Golden Hill, where 130 years ago the wealthy merchants of San Diego once resided.

Now a chill and newly re-gentrified neighborhood, Golden Hill is the perfect place for such an authentic retro experience. Turf Supper Club is what emo and old school can only hope to be, it’s retro coolness is made possible purely by chance and neglect, closed and boarded up for more than 40 years, then re-opened by grandson to its founder, this place, including the wallpaper, plush booths and lighting are straight out the late 1940’s. Turf Supper Club is your chance to strike it rich, proof that there is Gold in them Hills!
