Today the fashion house of Christian Lacroix closed its doors and we will not see their couture on the 2010 runways, at least for now. The Commercial Court of Paris today approved the recovery plan which provides for a shut down and dismissal of 96% of employees.

It is unclear whether one of the three primary "suitors" to the fashion house will come forward with a bid, so for now it is reorganization of the house that collapsed under the weight of debnt and tight credit conditions.

I truly hope that we will see them again and that this is not the final curtain call!
