After we have seen once unimagined collaborations as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen. It is now the turn for Sonia Rykiel to collaborate with the Swedish giant retailer H &M.
The French designer has designed for H&M a colorful collection for spring 2010, while her daughter Nathalie has already designed a winter 2009-2010 line of lingerie: a first of it's kind mother / daughter collaboration for H&M.
Last evening at the Grand Palais, a celebratory release was help replete with the most beautiful people of Paris in attendance. It was quite an affair including an 30 metres Efiffel tower model and Paris landmarks, balloon trees, fantasy abounded, it was also nice as the event raised funds for UNICEF. This makes one think who is the next designer in the secret box of this out of the box retailer.
