The Museum of San Diego History has an exhibition on the history of high fashion in the city from the late 19th century to the present. It includes pieces worn by the wealthy of San Diego to haute couture dresses to unique pieces worn by the trendsetters of today. Examples of designs by Chanel, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera, and Oscar de la Renta are showcased. In all 40 pieces of the San Diego Historical Society's costume collection, along with some carefully chosen loans are on display. The exhibit will be open until April 1, 2010. I am excited to see this exhibit and how the fashion of San Diego upholds the famous statement of being "America's Finest City".
