Tonight I went in The Cliff, a very good sea food restaurant located in Laguna Beach in the south of New Port beach. I was highly satisfied by the view and of course the meal.

Coming from France, my expectations in terms of food is pretty high and I rarely compliment American cooks, even if sometimes they are skilled. But in this restaurant I had the best matched potatoes I have ever eaten, the taste was spicy and delicate as well and texture was soft and full of potatoes pieces, proof of its homemade preparation. The sauce of the pork (I was the only one to dislike seafood around the table) was a very good and made with mushroom and wine.

In addition the atmosphere was warm. You can have a drink around table with a fire in its center and then you move to the terrace which benefit from an amazing view on the bay and the beach.

A very good memory, I highly recommend it.
