When Emotion Meets Freedom (Jorge Reinoza)
This native of Venezuela has brought his art to the United States, and in my opinion we are richer for it. I love modern art for it's freedom, expression and lack of confines. The great modernists of the past century have elevated the canvas from merely picturesque, structured and static images to a form of expression and interpretation, they represent the freedoms and liberties that only in the past 100 plus years men and women have truly enjoyed... at least in free nations where liberties are protected.
It is therefore fitting in my mind that this creative genious has come to the United States to seek his freedom and liberty to express himself beyond the artificial confines of state and political and ideological dogma. The art of Jorge Reinoza is at once iconic, organic, modern, spiritual, physical and emotional. He is an artist who I am fortunate to have been able to see at work. It is indeed moving to see this artist at work, he moves about the canvas with a fervor that is translates to images that are spiritual, animated and in many cases religious.
I look to more from this creative artist, just another example of a StyleXplorer; curious visionaries, who when they discover for themselves their own true art and expression, they share it with others... in the end all those who discover are better for it.
