Banana Republic & AMC's hit retro series Mad Men have created a promotional collabroative that is worth a look. The Banana Republic Mad Men Casting Call incorporates in-store point of sale promotion and traffic driving, YouTube video, social media marketing, web-based voting and selection. The ultimate goal here, to secure a walk on role on one of the most popular and iconic television series today, AMC's Mad Men.

With a deadline set for Augist 11th, more than 1,000 potential walk-on entries are have now created their videos, posted their photos, and engaged in promotion to friends, associates and family in the hopes that they will generate enough votes to be selected. I have included and example of such a video created by one hopeful below.
