Saturday night in Biarritz

Here you are… In Biarritz or in a city around, back from the beach and asking yourself what you’re gonna do tonight… Either you are with a friend or a date, the following plan works.

First, in the end of the afternoon, you can go to Biarritz Casino. It’s one of the most beautiful and well known in France… Right in front of a small sand beach between rocks cliffs. Here you’ll find several places to have a drink, a coffee. If you want to move from Biarritz, the town to see is Saint Jean-de-Luz. It’s gorgeous, and you’ll find a lot of walking streets there with hundreds of small shops. That’s the first step.

Then if you want to discover what is typical Basque food, go to the “100 marches”. That’s my part of the all plan. It’s like 20 minutes by walk but just in front of the ocean. Don’t be lazy at that time. You want to reach that place just before sunset because I’m telling you, that’s just one of the best sunset I’ve ever seen. You are on cliffs, just in front of the ocean, something like 30 meters (100 feet)over it. And here you go, eating tapas and drinking white wine or rosé (wine is the best with tapas) in that casual place. You’ll have a very good time It’s guaranteed.

Want more? Ok, then the cool place is The “Blue Cargo”. It’s a dancing bar located on the beach. To go there you’ll have to drive or take a bus. It’s a very nice place in which one you will listen to the most popular music of the summer and electro.  It’s a totally opened place (no roof, no walls). You’re just in front on the ocean, with the reflect of the lights on the beach. It’s open from 10pm to 2am.

Well, that’s already a pretty long night. And you’ve been to the coolest places, the most original one in my opinion. You might want to party till dawn. So I recommend you the club called “le caveau”. It’s in the center of Biarritz so once again you’ll need a ride. And… that’s it. You may have a chocolate croissant and go to bed :)
