Well, my friends, this is the news. The studio called Satellite, the second in the world (the first is in Bangalore, India) is located in UniverCidade in Ipanema, and will be open to students from local design, which could exchange ideas with researcher’s design of Nokia from various points of the planet.
There is no intention to create products "physical" – which means we will not able to see a phone green-and-yellow (although the Brazilian really like silver, white and black, and Nokia knows this). The idea is to study the Latin American culture and bring this influence to several of Nokia products around the world. It can be wallpaper, for example, what the company wants is to promote diversity, showing that wants to understand what the Brazilian needs.
The studio is also to the encouragement of local talent and to exchange experiences, being a window that provides access to Nokia outside world.
