House of Bols (Bols)
House of Bols is a marketing experience that takes you into the world of cocktails, bartending and rich history of Holland’s 1575 gin and liquor brand Lucas Bols.
In a trendy colourful surrounding, you will be informed about the history of the worldwide eldest distilled brand while exploring the organ senses by smelling fragrances, feeling ingredients, learning to mix your own cocktail (tape it and mail it to friends), seeing the assortment of rainbow bottles, participating in taste tests, entering a 280º video clip with special music, and at the end creating and drinking your own cocktail in the Spiegelbar!
If you cant get enough of it, in the shop you can buy your own cocktail bartender toolkit to continue at home!
The location, in the centre of Amsterdam, houses as well the headquarters of Bols and the Bols Bartending Academy. Entrance is € 10 with a free cocktail at the end of the tour. If you are short of money, keep in mind that neighbour painter Rembrandt used to pay his bills with paintings!
