Bahia Cabana, part of the Days Inn resorts, is located in the heart of the "Venice of the US". It's right across from the beach, at walking distance from all the nice bars, restaurants on the Los Olas boulevard and the beach mall. It overlooks Fort Lauderdale's Largest Boat Marina, so instead of taking your car, you can actually arrive by boat or water taxi.
It has a great patio bar where you can sip on a mojito, eat some conch fritters and enjoy the life bands. Even if you're not a guest of the hotel, this is a popular place to meet up with friends. If you're not in the mood to go to the beach, you can relax in their outdoor Jacuzzi or take a swim in the swimming pool. The rooms are simple, but nice..but being in Fort Lauderdale you probably won't spend a lot of time in your room anyway!
