When you live in Fort Lauderdale or just visiting you need to go to Cafe Del Mar at least once. Located on the beach, this restaurant is known for it's great live entertainment and truely a fun place to go to.

 

When you walk in, you usually get welcomed by the long haired italian/ portugese manager Arturo, who will give you the best spot possible to watch one of the live shows.

 

Famous guitarist Alex Fox, or the Fox Trio when playing with his two sons, performs every Thursday, Friday and Sunday. You can expect to see a real spectacle...Fox composes his own latin, flamingo like music, from romantic to dance. While walking through the audience, playing his guitar behind or above his head, you just can't stop watching or start moving your body. People even stop at the beach to look at this great show.

 

Not only do they have great musicians, their meditaranian food and cocktails tasts terrific too. And unlike most American restaurants, they don't expect you to pay and leave after your last bite.
