Do you ever wonder whether that side of guacamole on your tortilla's ever came from. Its probably got a good chance of being from Fallbrook, CA. Once a year this sleepy village of 7,000 odd people through a huge cultural party to enlighten the world about this greenest of foods. It all started back in the swinging sixties where avocado's grow by the plentiful, that the locals decided to tell the world about their pot of gold.
The festival attract's over 80,000 people (who's counting I can't really say). You will find food, music, dancing, arts and cultures for all ages. The quiet streets are packed full of stalls making it a truly unique and fun place to be. So if you ever want to try something new, Avocado ice cream, avocado pie, avocado cocktails, only your imagination can stop you, there is something for everyone.
