Ambient marketing, guerrilla marketing, viral marketing... It has become a phrase that has taken on the meaning of mean non-traditional, low-cost, highly effective marketing effort.
Ikea is one of the companies who best materialise this kind of marketing. It´s promotional campaings always look for the surprise, for something different, because I think Ikea is different. Is incredible how a brand can achieve a so broad target!
IKEA recently converted the Kobe Portliner Monorail into a colorful moving showroom to promote the new retail outlet at Port Island. This funky guerrilla marketing train has a colorful exterior, nifty upholstery and quite some style. Now that makes train traveling an even more pleasurable experience.
