Queensday. A national holiday in the Netherlands. This one is always celebrated on April 30st. Everybody will go out on the streets, dress up in orange clothing and have a good time. Especially the kids love this day. They get the opportunity to gather their old stuff (and of course from their parents) and try to sell this on big fairs. They will put a cloth on the ground and display everything for small prices. Nowadays this is getting a little out of hand because people in the big cities (like Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht) are getting up so early to get a good spot to sell their stuff. It is straight out ridiculous, at 1 or 2 am you can see people trying to find a spot. Furthermore it is tradition for our queen to visit a city somewhere in the country. Most of the times the children put up a little performance for the queen and honor her in a unique way. So, when some foreigner is visiting the Netherlands in this period (April 30st) they would definitely have a good time even though it is very surprising for a lot of people.
