I didn't know too much about these 8 foot mini-cars, but I'm getting the feeling that they are carrying big things in their tiny cargo space. The Smart Fortwo has answered the call in the intelligence department with its capabilities in parking, steering, and overall handling, but recently the Smart car has fired back at rising questions of safety.
How safe can the smallest car for sale on the U.S market be? Pretty safe. It achieved the second highest rating in recent crash tests and experts say that small cars seems more practical in urban areas. The car boasts 33 miles to the gallon on residential street and 41 miles on highways. With rising fuel prices, Americans will start seriously thinking about the Smart car's easy handling and efficiency once they see test results that proove the car's safety.
While the car isn't for everyone, I would keep an eye on these cars not because of its street smarts but because of its appeling marketing smarts.
