As a former runner, I really appreciate how important training is, and also how helpful it can be to have a guide. I was really impressed with how Nike incorporates this need into their online business. It's all free, but of course they are hoping to build brand loyalty. I am working on getting my health back, so I think I'll sign up for the first level of training! I also like how they include a whole community--a counter shows the accumulated miles that are being run by members worldwide. Pretty cool!
I will have a look-see at this - asa runner I am always looking for new ways to track my own performance - I will get a flavour for it and let you know my humble thoughts.
Well, I signed up, and it's not free. But it is still very cool. You order this sport band and chip for $59, and plug it into your computer after a run and it uploads all your data to the site. Although it's not free, I still see how this can be a big appeal for runners, especially since self-monitoring is such a big part of the sport.
