As we know China is hosting the 2008 Olympics.
Nike and Adidas both have put out commercials that promote both the Olympics and their products.
At first glance the ads seem very similar. Both quality and appealing ads. Both display a sense of honor and pride. Both are sending encouraging messages to all the participating Chinese athletes. However, the vibe of each commercial are quite different.
Adidas, a German company, tells the athletes that this is their moment of glory and losing should not be an option. Nike, an American company, tell the athletes, win or lose they should feel proud and accomplished for representing their country in the prestigious Olympics.
It is kind of like the 2 types of Mom's. The "soccer" Mom who is constantly pushing their child to win win win or the compassionate Mom who is happy with their child as long as they tried their best. So, I suppose, who would you rather have...."soccer" Mom or compassionate Mom
