Cape Town: Mother City of Africa magazine
I proudly introduce you to one of the most precious spots on earth. A place where oceans meet and a restive continent relenquishes its struggles against past and pressures of uncertain future ... Cape Town, South Africa.
As an African I can say that i love this continent, it's rich and diverse history, cultures, and its often frenetic and yet laid back pace... it is unique in the world. As a Zimbabwean, I can say that I love my country but pain for it's tragic condition today. And, now as a resident of Cape Town, South Africa, I can honestly say that I am madly in love with this place, and am convinced that there is no place like it on earth.
Cape Town is called the mother city of Africa, and I can understand this because the natural richness, and nurturing people do in fact captivate and care for you as a mother should. This city also nurtures one of the most diverse populations on earth, including; Indonesian, French, Dutch, British and German settlers, as well as the local Bushman, Hottentot and Bantu tribes from the north. The City combines beaches (some replete with penguins!), city centre, thriving commerce, tourism and great nightlife and daytime pursuits along with gourgeous housing estates, natural aboundance, and nearby vineyards... All told, welcome to heaven on earth!
