+ My Hobbies & Passions
I am into learning, listening, keeping an open mind, but making up my mind when I have sufficient information, I detest "waffling" and those who canot commit. Never assume, always ask and listen. I seek friends who are spontaneous, fun, trustworthy, loyal, and not nuts...in a bad way... Other than that things I love include...

+ My Favorite Brands & Detail
GENERAL -- Alfa Romeo, Apple intuitive, simple to use, and stylish, Mac’s work with your brain and fingers. They are simple to maintain and update, I made the switch years ago and am a prime example that “once you go Mac, you never go back?)., BMW (Been a loyal customer for 15 years), Nike (Loved since I got my first pair of sneaks), Prada (Stylish & Quality), Ralph Lauren (Love it from casual to elegance, my more conservative side), WATCHES -- Low-End Swatch (CH) (Classicly simple, stylish, and inexpensive way to express yourself, got into collecting and selling at one time, have about 40 left, yikes) Mid-Range Breil (IT), Locman (IT), Davis (NL), Chanel J12 Superleggera (FR), Schroeder Chrongraph (LU), Omega Speedmaster (CH), Panerai Radiomir & Luminor Power Reserve (IT). (Basically, I like the classics, simple, elegant and functional, silver and leather, black or brown accents) EYEWEAR -- Dolce & Gabbana (IT), Sunglasses Ray Ban (US), Chanel (FR).
+ My Favorite Clothing, Accessories and Shoes
CLOTHING -- Sport Casual: Ralph Lauren (US), Theory (US), LaCoste (FR). Casual to Dress: Giorgio Armani (IT), Prada (IT), Barneys New York (US), Hugo Boss (D), Classico Firenze (IT) (Amazing Shirts).
SHOES -- Sport: Nike (Stylish, comfortable great for running or hanging out, I have been wearing classic 80’s models like Bruins lately, let you be the athlete you can be, just do it!) Adidas (Made for serious field sports, great soccer shoes, stylish in their own right when worn with jeans or loose fitting cargos) Casual: Bikkembergs, (Cool, colorful Italian trainers that are great for casual wear, the Superga’s of the 2000’s) Converese, PF Flyers (I love these classics, comfortable, and can be worn with everything from shorts, to jeans, cargos, or khakis).

+ My Favorite Automotive / Transportation
BMW & Alfa Romeo (These marques combine driver control, handling like a rail, turning on a dime, comfort, sportiness, and unique styling, form and function delivered with no compromise. My favorites of the breeds, the unvanquished M3 and imitable Spider … not to forget the M5 and Brera…my dream wheels!) For super cars put me down for a Spyker (NL) or Maserati (IT). For getting dirty, hitting the mountain snow, the desert sands, or forging rivers give me my Jeep wrangler.
+ My Favorite Interior/Exterior Design and Architecture
Mid-Century, Modern (Perhaps it is because I spent my childhood in the 1970’s a drab, dreary decade of avocado, gold, and brown, a baroque and rococo revival recreated in vinyl and faux veneer. I was weaned on such classic 50’s and 60’s sitcoms including Leave it to Beaver, I Dream of Jeanie, and the Brady Bunch, these were the happy homes and simple furnishings that dreams were and are today made of … the perfect escape from reality!).
+ My Favorite Merchandising and Retail
Fred Segal (LA) (Amazing range of my favorite styles), Springfield (EU) (Great casual clothier), Zara (SP) (Good style at good prices), Bloomingdales (US), eBay (My passion and addiction, I love seeking out style I can afford on eBay)
+ My Favorite Telecom and Communications
Nokia and soon iPhone (Intuitive, simple to use, and stylish, these phones work with your brain and fingers, not against them like the competition, I don’t flip for flip phones).
+ My Favorite Cosmetics and beauty Care
Anthony for Men, Clarins for Men, Dermatologic,
+ My Favorite Food and Beverage
Seafood, Thai, American (yes it definitely exists, see my reports, and no I do not been hamburgers and hotdogs). I love water! no sodas please, love fresh juices, addicted to great looseleaf teas, and espresso (Cafe La Estrella from Spain is NO 1, next ILLY from Italy)
+ My Not's (Brands I dislike)
Automobiles: Anything Asian (To me, you can find reliability and comfort in cars that don’t change styles every two years, give me a European car, or American truck any day, classic style, dependable, performance matching their purpose, not mass appeal, I drive first for pleasure, and have owned 3 Toyotas (including a Prius hybrid), and an Infiniti, I felt more satisfaction turning these cars in than the day when I purchased them).
Computers: PC’s (Clunky black plastic monstrosities that creak when you hold them, noisy fans, constant upgrades, and a new operating system that once again tries to mimic Mac).
Dress: Shirts Un-tucked (Personally, it makes guys look like monkeys in people’s clothing, particularly when the shirt is tailored to be tucked in).
Clothing: Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Reuhl No. 925 (Proof that fashion for the masses is not always a good thing, a great brand gone bad, for people that have nothing to say except what is printed on their shirt. Yesterday’s fashion is one thing, but last year’s is another. I think the trend of wearing big names emblazoned across one’s chest is passing on).

Hey Brian, its Chris. Not sure if you will remember me, but I met you at Stone Brewerey a few weeks ago. I am the guy who does marketing/pr for Kawasaki. I just got back into town from Monterey working the world motoGP races. How is everything with you??

Excellent. See you Saturday. Just go around the corner onto Ivy St and through the gate. Follow the noise.
Nichole said on September 9, 2008 at 01:37
Hey Brian. It was fun talking to you the other night. I look forward to catching up again soon. I'm having a shindig at my house Saturday night after the Northpark / Uptown Neighborhood Party, if you want to come. It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to. But I'll most likely be laughing like a hyena the whole night. I live directly behind Junc Boutique, so I'll be opening up the casa at 9:00 for after party drinks and snacks. Come if you want/can. If not, I'll definitely see you on Sunday. Cheers!
Wheatherbeaten said on August 27, 2008 at 09:34
Hmmm, you, "...do not been hamburgers and hot dogs."? An interesting profile or I believe you spelt "bean" incorrectly or you meant "mean". Doubly mispelt. Tsk, tsk :p.
Wheatherbeaten said on August 27, 2008 at 09:17
Ah!, I do so love think tanks. I got the idea off of word of the day from dictionary.com, hence the inclusion of "word". Your run-off could include style of the day, week, month, year, et cetera. Is there such a thing as nightwear? You know, to make you stand out amongst the late night party crowd? Maybe I will create Lazyexplorer.com; for those who want to lounge and laze in style. Soft on the inside jeans is something I want to see.
Wheatherbeaten said on August 27, 2008 at 08:19
Huh, I have to admit this site is pretty snazzy. May I suggest, Uncle, that you have "The Style Word of the Day"?... Just an idea.

Hey Brian,
I'm interested in late seventies/early eighties styles but I don't know where to look some up. Do you have any suggestions on fashions or websites? Thanks!
P.S. Suggestion for StyleXplorers.com: A question/answer wall might be useful for style explorers with questions such as this. That way people can connect with other people who have the same hobby or passion and answers to questions in that area of interest.
